We are pleased to invite researchers, professionals, and students to DUST 2025 – The 6th International Conference on Atmospheric Dust, a premier event dedicated to advancing dust science research. The conference will take place in the coastal city of Bari, Italy, from July 1 to 4, 2025, bringing together leading experts and scientists to discuss the latest research and technological advancements in the field.

Since its inception, DUST has established itself as a key international forum, attracting over 300 scientists and medical geologists worldwide. This year’s edition promises an interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge, covering diverse themes related to dust dynamics, environmental impacts, and human health effects.

Key Conference Themes

📌 AM – Advances in Dust Observation and Modelling
Exploring cutting-edge methods, including remote sensing, in-situ measurements, and advanced modelling, to improve our understanding of dust behavior at multiple scales.

📌 DS – Regional and Specific Dust Sources
Investigating dust sources such as Saharan dust, Asian dust, and volcanic ash, with a focus on transport patterns, chemical characteristics, and their role as pollutant carriers.

📌 EC – Environmental and Climate Impacts
Analyzing how dust influences ecosystems, biogeochemical cycles, and climate regulation, with emphasis on its chemical and physical interactions in the environment.

Examining the impacts of dust and particulate matter on human health, including exposure assessment, toxicity studies, and health risk evaluation.

Unraveling the dynamics of dust storms, transport mechanisms, and deposition processes, supported by observational and modelling approaches.

Call for Abstracts – Submission Deadline: March 31, 2025
